GREENWOOD, S.C. - The 23rd-ranked Columbus State University women's golf team dropped a place in the second day of the Lady Bearcat Invitational, finishing second out of 22 teams after shooting a second round score of 305.
CSU posted an overall team score of 608, just seven strokes behind the winner, 12th-ranked Lee University. Lincoln Memorial University (610) and the University of West Georgia (613) finished third and fourth, respectively.
Ana Thorne led the Lady Cougars as the senior finished tied for seventh place with a score of 6-over 150. Thorne had the same performance in both rounds, shooting 3-over 75 in each day.
In the second round,
Victoria Libaak shot the best score for Columbus State throughout the entire invitational with an even-par 72. Libaak finished the invitational tied for 11th with a final score of 7-over 151.
Maddie Krueger and
Selina Budde both tied for 23rd after each shot a 7-over 79 in the second round of play. Both Lady Cougars finished with a total score of 10-over 154.
Also competing for CSU was
Beryl Giletti, who finished tied for 55th with a score of 17-over 161.

The Lady Cougars will finish the regular season on Monday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 5 at the 2022 Argonaut Invitational at the Tiger Golf Club hosted by the University of West Florida.
