COLUMBUS - The sixth-ranked Columbus State University baseball team looks for another Peach Belt Conference series win this weekend when the Cougars take on Georgia Southwestern University in a three-game set in Americus, Ga.

CSU NOTES
• Columbus State heads into the series atop the PBC standings with a 10-2 conference record. Overall, the Cougars are 26-5 following a 20-9 victory Wednesday over Point University
• CSU is ranked sixth in the nation in the latest NCWBA poll and third in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper rankings
• The Cougars have five games this year with 20 or more runs and 19 games with 10 or more runs
• CSU leads DII in runs scored (347) and home runs (61). The Cougars are fourth in scoring, averaging 11.2 runs per game
• Robert Brooks hit his 54th and 55th career homers on Wednesday. The graduate senior is now one behind former University of North Georgia player Andres Peres (2017-2021) for third all-time in PBC history
• Brooks (49), Steven Minter (44) and Win Johns (35) are first, second and third in the PBC in RBIs
• Colby Brabston enters the weekend on a 14-game on-base streak and six-game hitting streak
• Devin Dudal is 4-0 with a 3.28 ERA over his last four starts and leads the PBC with six wins. The six wins are also tied for the sixth-most in DII
• The Cougars haven't lost a series this year (8-0)
GA SOUTHWESTERN NOTES
• Georgia Southwestern is below .500 overall (12-17), but are 8-4 in PBC play so far in 2022
• GSW is in good position in the standings, sitting tied for third with Young Harris College beginning the weekend. Flagler is second, a game back from the Cougars, while GSW and YHC are two games behind CSU
• The Hurricanes wrapped up the month of March with an 8-7 record following a 3-2 midweek loss to Shorter University on Tuesday
• Jared Donalson has been tough to hit this year on the hill as he leads the PBC and is 10th in DII in strikeouts (63). The righty is 5-2 with a 2.17 ERA in 45.2 innings
• Nick McCollum (3-3, 3.38 ERA) and Dalton Cameron (4-3, 3.86 ERA) are also expected to make starts this weekend
• Anthony Angelino is a power threat, leading the Hurricanes with five homers and 29 RBIs
• As a team, GSW ranks last in the PBC with a .237 average
SERIES HISTORY
• Columbus State leads the all-time series 37-9 since GSW joined the NCAA DII ranks for the 2007 season.
• The Cougars took 2-of-3 from the Hurricanes at Burger King Stadium, winning the rubber game 23-4
