BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Both Columbus State University golf teams continue to rise in the Golfstat national rankings as the postseason looms around the corner.
After strong spring results, the Cougars and Lady Cougars are both 18th in the latest editions of the
Golfstat rankings. It's the highest position the CSU women have ever been ranked in Golfstat.
The Cougars also keep rising in the
Bushnell/Golfweek Division II coaches poll. CSU jumped three spots to 18th in this week's poll. The Lady Cougars are 24th in the
Mizuno WGCA coaches poll released on March 25. A new poll comes out on April 15.
Both teams have been included in the early NCAA region rankings as the Cougars and Lady Cougars are fighting for berths into the NCAA Regionals. The men's side is sixth in the
Southeast Region, while the women are 13th in the
South Region. The Lady Cougars are searching for the program's first appearance in the NCAA Regional.
The Cougars and Lady Cougars are in action in next week's Argonaut Invitational hosted by the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla.
