ROME, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's and women's tennis teams each had one team of doubles competing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup, which will took place at the Rome Tennis Center from Thursday, Oct. 12 to Saturday, Oct. 14. 

MEN'S RECAP
The No. 15 seeded men's doubles team of Justin Welz and Camilo Cano fell short in the opening round of 16, falling to the No. 16 seeded Phil Exner and Alex Blanchar of Ouachita Baptist University. The duo then played in the west draw consolation match after being eliminated from the main doubles bracket. There, the pair squared off against Azusa Pacific, where they fell short and were eliminated from the tournament.

Friday, Oct. 13 - Draw/Consolation West Result

WOMEN'S RECAP
The No. 3 seeded women's team consisting of Mariana Ramirez and Nikoline Gullacksen defeated the No. 4 seeded team Isabella Rios and Sofia Teran from Dallas Baptist University in their tournament opening round on Thursday, Oct. 12. They then went to the quarterfinals, where they were defeated in two sets by a difficult No. 1 seeded team from Wayne State University. After being eliminated in the quarterfinals, Ramirez and Gullacksen moved to the north draw consolation match, where they defeated a University of Central Oklahoma team in two sets to end their ITA Cup competition with a win.
