COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University baseball team will travel to Mobile, Ala. to take on the Spring Hill College Badgers in a three game series. The rain has pushed the series to two games on Sunday with the first game of the doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. CST (2 p.m EST) and game three on Monday starting at 1 p.m. CST.

Columbus State took the series last season against the Badgers 2-1. For the Cougars, they are currently on a three game win streak and they defeated Albany State on Wednesday by a score of 4-1. The Cougars currently have five players hitting over a .350 batting average, Steven Minter leads the team with a .545 mark. Matthew McDade is at the top in multiple categories including homeruns, rbi's, total bases, and slugging percentage. Pitching wise, the Cougars have two starting pitchers coming off five inning outings and earned the win, Noah Windhorst and Colton Joyner. The back of the bullpen has been in top shape as they have already collected two saves on the season. 

For the Badgers, they had an impressive season last year going 38-15 and earning a trip to the NCAA regional. They are currently 1-0 with a win in their only game against Montevallo by a score of 6-2. They are led by Jackson Bell who hit a grand slam last game and who has an on-base percentage of .600.
