Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The Columbus State University women's tennis team lost to the University of West Alabama 2-5 on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Vaughan Tennis Complex. The Lady Cougars are now 0-1 and the Tigers are 2-0.
SINGLES:
- Nikoline Gullacksen played in fourth singles and Sara Ramirez played in fifth, and both won their matches by default.
- In second singles, Mariana Ramirez took Yurie Takanishi into three sets, but fell with scores of 6-7, 7-6, 5-7.
- Luciana Galves played a close third singles match with Heden Ly, but lost 6-7, 4-6.
- Agostina Bigotti fell 4-6, 4-6 to Irawan "Ming" Deewajee in the sixth spot.
DOUBLES:
- West Alabama's Franco and Deewajee beat M. Ramirez and Bigotti 6-2 in the first spot.
- UWA's Emiri Takanishi and Y. Takanishi defeated Galves and Gullacksen in second doubles 6-3.
