COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University baseball team has their last midweek matchup of the season on Wednesday, April 26 against the Montevallo Falcons at Bob Riesener Stadium in Montevallo, Ala. The Cougars are on a six game win streak and are 31-12 on the season and 17-10 in PBC play. Montevallo is on a five game win streak and are coming in with a record of 35-10 and 19-8 inside the Gulf South Conference.
The Cougars are getting hot at the right time as they have scored 10 or more runs in five of their last six contests and they've only allowed 13 runs in that span.
Connor Kirley is red-hot as he has a hit in 16 out of his last 18 games. He also leads CSU with a .336 average with two homers and 27 RBI's on the season.

Derek Wylie are coming off great weekends as both had six hits in three games in their series against USC Beaufort. Columbus State as a team is batting .303 and they have 54 total homerun's on the season.
The Montevallo Falcons come in as one of the top hitting teams in the country. The Falcons have four batters with 12 or more homerun's on the season and three batters with 60 or more RBI's. Montevallo was shutout by the Cougars the last time these two teams squared off but they've only been shutout out twice this year and have averaged 9 runs a game on the season.
Columbus State will travel to Montevallo, Ala. on Tuesday, April 26 to take on Montevallo at 6 p.m.
