COLUMBUS - Columbus State University baseball alum Kolton Ingram was called back up to the Los Angeles Angels active roster on Friday, Sept. 1.

Ingram was selected to the Angels 40-man roster on Nov. 15, 2022 and was called to the team in June 2023, making his Major League debut on June 17 against Kansas City. The Hampton, Ga. native made his second appearance for the Angels on June 24 against the Colorado Rockies, tallying his first three professional strikeouts in 2.0 innings pitched. Recently on Sunday, Sept. 3 at Oakland, the left-hander pitched 1.0 innings and struck out one batter.

Before making his debut with the Angels, Ingram spent the 2022 season with Double-A Rocket City, where he led all Trash Panda relievers in games, innings and holds (13). He made 50 appearances, which tied him for first in the Southern League and he also ranked tied for fifth in saves.

Ingram holds the all-time career strikeout record (315) at Columbus State. In 2018, he earned All-American honors and helped lead the Cougars to the NCAA Division II College World Series Championship game in Cary, N.C. That season he led all Division II pitchers in wins (14) and strikeouts (150). The ABCA All-American played for the Cougars from 2016-2019.
