MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Columbus State University baseball team heads to Auburn University Montgomery on Tuesday, March 12 for a midweek nonconference game against the Warhawks. The first pitch is set for 5 p.m EST (4 p.m. CT).

History
The Cougars hold a 23-6 record over the Warhawks, recently losing the last game 7-10 in Montgomery, Ala. in 2023. Before last season, CSU posted a five-game winning streak against AUM. 

Scouting AUM

• The Warhawks post a 13-11 record and currently hold a one-game losing streak, falling to Shorter University
• Six Warhawks post over a .300 batting avg. Zach Dew and Kasey Clark lead the team in RBI with 22 and 20, and Clark leads AUM in home runs with five
• Ryan Slaten leads the pitching staff with a 3.81 ERA in 26 innings, while Clay Slagle leads in strikeouts with 30

• CSU holds a 14-9 record and is currently on a four-game winning streak, beating Montevallo and sweeping a three-game series vs. Flagler
• Win Johns and Derek Wylie are each hitting over .400, and Colby Brabston and Cody Ferguson each record averages over .300. Wylie leads the Cougars with 31 RBI and nine homers
• Leo Giannoni collected two wins last week in relief and posts a 1.32 ERA with a team-high 30 strikeouts. Johnny Dow has a 3.06 ERA in 35.1 innings pitched
