Kolton Ingram Called to the Giants

2019 CSU baseball alum Kolton Ingram is back in the Majors with the San Francisco Giants.

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Giants recently claimed Columbus State University baseball alum Kolton Ingram to their 40-man roster as a left-handed pitcher in July 2024.

Ingram was recalled from Double-A Richmond and will wear number 56 for the Giants. The Stockbridge, Ga. native has spent the calendar year in Triple-A and has been a part of six organizations. Ingram posts a 4.26 ERA across 25 1/3 innings and averages a 22.8% strikeout percentage while walking 16.7% of batters faced at the top minor league level this season.

His last major league appearance was in a Los Angeles Angels jersey on Sept. 26, 2023 against the Texas Rangers. He pitched 1.0 inning and struck out three batters. He was selected to the Angels 40-man roster on Nov. 15, 2022 and was called to the team in June 2023, making his Major League debut on June 17 against Kansas City.
