MCCORMICK, S.C. – Columbus State University women's golf traveled to McCormick, S.C. for the Savannah Lakes Invitational hosted by Lander (S.C.).
The Lady Cougars competed in the 54-hole tournament at the Monticello Golf Club in McCormick on Monday and Tuesday. Columbus State finished in eighth as a team with a final total of 923 (+59).
First Round
Columbus State opened with a team score of 306 (+18) to land sixth in the team standings after the first 18 holes. Both Lexis Fickel and Sadie Norman carded a 3-over 75 to lead CSU.
Samantha Dewendt Morales followed with a first-round 77 (+5) while Maegan Pungsuwan carded a 79 (+9). Andrea Peraza rounded out the Lady Cougars with an 85 (+13).
Second Round
The Lady Cougars finished the second round with a total score of 314 (+26) to land at 10th on the team leaderboard after 36 holes on Monday. Fickel improved to a couple of strokes with a second round one-over 73.
Norman carded a 78 (+6) followed by Dewendt Morales with an 81 (+9). Pungsuwan recorded an 82 (+10) while Peraza finished Tuesday with an 87 (+15).
Third Round
On Tuesday, CSU finished with a team score of 303 (+15) to finish eighth. Both Fickel and Norman wrapped up the three-round event with scores of 75 (+3). Fickel finished tied for 16th individually with a 7-over total while Norman finished tied for 28th with a 12-over total.
Dewendt Morales finished tied for 45th with a 19-over total after wrapping up with a 77 (+5) and was followed by Pungsuwan who finished tied for 49th with a total of 21-over after carding a final round 76 (+4).
Peraza rounded out the Lady Cougars at 77th individually with a 41-over total and a final round of 85 (+13).
