COLUMBUS – Columbus State University Women's Golf tees off on Monday, Sept. 9 to open the 2024-25 season.
The Lady Cougars are set to compete at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational in Calera, Ala. Hosted by Montevallo (Ala.) on Monday and Tuesday. CSU will take on the Timberline Golf Club among eight other teams.
"I am very eager to begin this season with a talented mix of returning players along with two transfers and three freshmen," Head Coach Kristin Culpepper stated. "Because of the great community support that we have here in Columbus, we are able to provide our players with amazing opportunities and tools that are going to help elevate their game and prepare them for competition."
Columbus State will return to the course on Sept. 23-24 for the Savannah Lakes Invitational hosted by Lander (S.C.) in McCormick, S.C. before traveling to Dahlonega, Ga. on Oct. 7-8 for the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia. CSU will close out the fall in Florida with the Flagler Fall Slam at the Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine on Oct. 21-22.
The Lady Cougars will rely on the returning duo of Sadie Norman and Laura DeLaubert while integrating the talented new faces in transfers Lexis Fickel and Andrea Peraza. In addition, three freshmen Samantha Dewendt Morales, Sydney Himes, and Maegan Pungsuwan will look to make their mark this season.
CSU will be represented by the lineup of DeLaubert, Dewendt Morales, Fickel, Norman, and Pungsuwan next week in Alabama. Columbus State tees off on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Timberline Golf Club and will wrap up on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Results can be found on the Scoreboard powered by Clippd.
