Cougars vs Buccaneers
Columbus State and Barry meet for the first time this weekend at Feinbloom Field, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon followed by the finale on Sunday. CSU is currently 3-3 on the season while BU is 4-2.
The Cougars are coming off a 5-7 loss at #16 Young Harris, remaining on the road this season as Tuesday's home opener was postponed due to rain. As for the Buccaneers, they have opened the season with six straight home contests heading into the weekend.
As a team, CSU is batting .263 on the season with 56 hits and 38 runs scored on nine doubles, two triples, and five homers.
Cayden Evans leads the way with a .455 batting average on six starts. He also leads with 10 hits and is second in runs and fourth in RBIs.
For Barry, they are batting .250 as a team and have scored 27 runs on 47 hits, 12 doubles, and four homers. Harry Vargas Seguera leads with a .381 average at the dish with five runs scored, eight hits, two doubles, and four RBIs.
