Columbus State (4-5) and Valdosta (2-7) meet on Tuesday afternoon at Burger King Stadium at Ragsdale Field for a single nine-inning contest at 4 p.m. ET.
CSU is coming off a 1-2 weekend at Barry (Fla.), winning two of the last six games while VSU split at Union (Tenn.), dropping five of their last six.
Cayden Evans leads the batting efforts with a .457 average at the plate while totaling 16 hits with four doubles and a homer for six RBIs. Warrick Wilmot has driven in a team-leading 11 runs followed by nine from Cody Ferguson. CSU is batting .266 as a team, tallying 53 runs on 85 hits, and 22 extra-base hits.
On the mound, Ryan Suppa has gathered a 2-1 record for a 3.63 ERA on 17.1 innings pitched, holding opponents to a .268 average. Trace Goforth has produced a 3.86 ERA in 14.0 innings for a 1-2 record and 18 strikeouts.
