OKATIE, S.C. – Columbus State University women's golf traveled Okatie, South Carolina to compete in the Oldfield Intercollegiate hosted by fellow Peach Belt Conference member, USC Beaufort on Monday and Tuesday.
The Lady Cougars competed in the two-day, 54-hole tournament at the 5,975-yard, par 72 Oldfield Club. Columbus State finished 13th of 15 teams with a team total of 975 (+111).
Graduate student Lexis Fickel led the charge for CSU, finishing tied for 13th individually after shooting rounds of 80 (+8), 76 (+4), and 73 (+1) to finish 13-over for the tournament. In round three, she highlighted with an eagle on the 331-yard, par four 12th hole. She closed the tournament with six birdies as well.
Sydney Himes and Samantha Dewendt Morales followed with T41st finishes with a three-round total of 25-over. Himes carded back-to-back 79s (+7) to close the tournament while Dewendt Morales opened with a 76 (+4).
