AUGUSTA, Ga. – Columbus State University women's golf team began the Peach Belt Conference Championships with a 35-over round of 323 at the par-72, 6,123-yard Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
Columbus State the trio of Lexis Fickel, Sydney Himes, and Laura DeLaubert who carded seven-over rounds of 79 to finish tied for tenth. Andrea Peraza and Samantha Dewendt Morales rounded out tied for 24th and 28th, respectively. Peraza carded a first round of 86 while Dewendt Morales finished with a 93.
The Lady Cougars sit behind Flagler (Fla.) in third with a first round of 312. North Georgia sits at second with a score of 307 and Lander (S.C.) leads with a score of 306. USC Beaufort is behind CSU in fifth with a score of 330 followed by Edward Waters (Fla.) and Savannah State (Ga.) in sixth and seventh, respectively.
