Columbus State Baseball Secures No. 4 Seed for PBC Tournament

Cougars to face Georgia Southwestern on Friday in opening round

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University baseball has earned the No. 4 seed for the 2025 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament and will open postseason play against fifth-seeded Georgia Southwestern on Friday, May 2, at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Opening weekend of the tournament will be hosted by top-seeded North Georgia at Bob Stein Stadium in Dahlonega, Georgia.

The top eight teams advance to the postseason, split into two groups of four. North Georgia and Lander will serve as the two opening-weekend hosts, each playing a four-team, double-elimination bracket. The two teams that emerge will compete in a best-of-three championship series May 8-9.

Columbus State concluded the regular season with a 27-20 overall record and a 17-10 PBC slate. CSU is coming off a series sweep at Claflin this weekend. The Cougars are 7-3 in their last 10 matchups to close out the regular season. Earlier in the season, CSU took two of three from Georgia Southwestern.
