AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University outfielder
Cole Eison was named to the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Second Team, the league office announced Thursday.
The sophomore from Winston, Ga., turned in a stellar season at the plate and in the field for the Cougars. He hit .340 across 45 games with 44 starts, collecting 64 hits in 188 at-bats. His offensive production included 11 home runs, 10 doubles, two triples, and 47 RBIs, while posting a team-leading .590 slugging percentage and a 1.006 OPS. He also drew 26 walks and stole eight bases on nine attempts.
Eison ranked among the top 10 in the PBC in total bases (111), while his .416 on-base percentage further cemented his role as a consistent offensive threat in the Cougar lineup. Across the PBC statistical leaders, Eison ranked within the top 10 in five different categories. He batted .383 against PBC pitchers with a team-leading 1.091 OPS, slugging .635 as well. He drove in 31 of his 47 RBIs in league play with six homers and 44 hits.
Defensively, Eison was perfect in the outfield, recording 111 putouts and three assists without committing an error, resulting in a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was one of just four players with a perfect fielding percentage.
