NORMAN, Okla. — Two Columbus State University men's golf standouts earned national recognition as
William Partner and
Ian Pienaar were named to the 2026 NCAA Division II PING All-America Teams, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Partner was selected to the Third Team, while Pienaar earned Honorable Mention All-America honors.
Partner closed the season ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 4 regionally. He posted an adjusted scoring average of 70.1 across 21 rounds and finished with 51.68 average weighted points. Partner also competed in seven stroke-play events and one match-play event during the season.
Pienaar was one of 28 golfers named Honorable Mention All-America. He finished the year ranked No. 43 nationally and No. 15 regionally with a 71.3 adjusted scoring average over 33 rounds. Pienaar also recorded 40.34 average weighted points while competing in 11 stroke play events and one match play event.
The All-America honors add to a standout 2026 season for Columbus State men's golf, which advanced to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship and reached medal match play for the first time since the format was implemented in 2011.
Automatic Honorable Mention selections from GCAA member schools include top-15 finishers at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship, the top two players from each All-Region ballot, and NCAA Division II regional medalists who were not previously named to an All-America team.
The GCAA began naming NCAA Division II All-Americans in 1975, with PING sponsoring the award since at least 1991. For Division II, the First Team consists of eight golfers, with an additional spot if the individual national champion was not already named to the First Team. Eight golfers are selected to the Second Team, eight to the Third Team, and at least 16 receive Honorable Mention recognition.
Founded in 1959 by Karsten Solheim, PING designs, manufactures, and markets golf equipment, including metal woods, irons, wedges, putters, and golf bags.
