COLUMBUS – Columbus State University women's soccer head coach Jay Entlich has announced the 2025 regular-season schedule, unveiling a 17-match slate of games that features nine opportunities for the CSU faithful to support the reigning Peach Belt Conference Champions at the Walden Soccer Complex.
CSU will face eight opponents that reached the NCAA National Tournament last season with six of those meetings being at home and three teams being conference opposition. A total of four of the teams finished last season ranked in the final United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 with two others finishing in the receiving votes section.
"We are super excited to start in preseason with a great mix of returning players and quite a few new faces," Entlich stated. "We have one of the toughest schedules in the country, so we will be tested week in and week out!"
The Lady Cougars open the season with a pair of matchups from Sunshine State foes, both of which made NCAA appearances last season. CSU will open the season with Embry-Riddle on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. ET and follow with Florida Tech on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. ET.
Columbus State then heads south for a two-match road swing against Florida Southern and Eckerd College, before returning home for a fierce midweek clash with southeast regional rival Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
The Peach Belt Conference opener is set for Saturday, Sept. 20 on the road at Georgia Southwestern. CSU will return home for a Tuesday evening meeting with newly appointed PBC foe Middle Georgia State on Sept. 23. CSU will have two key road fixtures against Catawba on Sept. 26 and North Georgia on Oct. 1, both of which were NCAA tournament teams a season ago.
Columbus State hosts three PBC rivals in October, including a pair of NCAA tournament teams in Flagler (Oct. 4) and Lander (Oct. 11). The Lady Cougars will take on Montevallo in non-conference action before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1 against Albany State.
The Peach Belt Conference Tournament begins on Nov. 8 with the quarterfinal round at the higher seeded team. The PBC semifinals will then be played on Nov. 12 followed by the final on Nov. 15.
Postseason play continues with the NCAA Tournament first and second rounds on Nov. 20 and 23. The third round and quarterfinals are scheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 6 with the semifinals and finals slated for Dec. 11-13 at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
