Gullacksen and Isaacs Earn Major PBC Awards

AUGUSTA, GA. – On the eve of the annual conference tournament, the Peach Belt Conference has announced the 2026 Women's Tennis Major Awards and All-Conference teams.

Columbus State secured two of the major awards including Player of the Year (Nikoline Gullacksen) and Coach of the Year (Evan Isaacs).

Gullacksen, a senior, went undefeated in conference play at No. 1 singles and is currently ranked 12th in the latest ITA Rankings. The Helsingor, Denmark native finished the regular season with a 15-2 overall singles record with six wins over nationally-ranked opponents. In doubles play, Gullacksen was 10-7 overall with a 5-1 PBC record, playing with both Monika Temkova and Claudia De Lucas.

Isaacs, the winningest coach in Peach Belt history, won his sixth PBC Women's Coach of the Year title after guiding the Cougars to a ranking as high as No. 9 to go along with a 15-4 record and a perfect 7-0 mark against league opponents.

This is the sixth time a Cougar has been named the League's Player of the Year.

Gullacksen also earned a spot on the All-Conference Singles First Team alongside Temkova, who was 4-2 in conference play at No. 2 singles.

De Lucas was placed on the All-Conference Singles Second Team after a freshman season in which she finished 13-5 overall with a 5-1 PBC record as the team's primary No. 3 player.

Columbus State's doubles duo of senior Laura Pesickova and freshman Isabell Ek were honored on the Doubles First Team after turning in a 16-3 record, including a perfect 6-0 record in conference play, splitting time between courts one and two. Gullacksen and Temkova were also on the Doubles First Team with a 3-1 Peach Belt Record.

Columbus State kicks off the postseason this weekend as the No. 1 seed in the Peach Belt Conference Championship at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. The Cougars face off against Georgia Southwestern in the opening round of play on Friday, April 24, at 9:00 a.m.
