AUGUSTA, GA. – Columbus State senior
Nikoline Gullacksen has been named the Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week following a dominant performance over the weekend that helped the No. 18 Cougars to consecutive wins over No. 43 Young Harris, Lincoln Memorial, and No. 29 Middle Georgia.
Gullacksen was a steady force in singles play, winning 6-4, 6-1 in court one against Lincoln Memorial and 6-3, 6-0 against Middle Georgia in Peach Belt Action. In doubles play, Gullacksen and teammate
Monika Temkova won 6-3 and 6-2, respectively, against LMU and MGA.
The Helsingor, Denmark native is currently ranked No. 27 in the latest ITA Singles Rankings, sporting a 10-2 record in singles play for Columbus State.
The Cougars return home for their next match against the University of Montevallo on Tuesday, April 7, at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
