GILBERT, AZ - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the Division II Men's and Women's Tennis All-American honors for the 2025-26 season. Columbus State seniors
Thomas Cardona and
Nikoline Gullacksen have each been recognized as 2026 ITA All-Americans following outstanding spring seasons on the courts.
For Gullacksen, it is her second All-American singles honor in as many years, while Cardona earned the award for the first time in his career.
Thomas Cardona, who was also recognized as the ITA Southeast Senior Player of the Year a month ago and ended the 2026 campaign ranked as the No. 5 overall men's singles player, while the men's program concludes the season ranked No. 5 as well. The Medellin, Colombia native finished the season with a 17-2 overall singles record and 11 wins over nationally-ranked opponents. In doubles play, Cardona and his teammate,
Samer Al Tori, had a 16-5 record. Cardona was also named the PBC Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, and the PBC Tournament Singles Most Valuable Player.
Nikoline Gullacksen, also earned ITA Southeast Senior Player of the Year honors, finished the season ranked as the 12th-ranked women's singles player, and led the Lady Cougars to a No. 8 overall ranking. The Helsingor, Denmark native tallied a 16-3 overall in singles play with six wins over nationally-ranked opponents in the No. 1 position. In doubles play, Gullacksen was 14-7 overall, having played with
Annie Adams,
Monika Temkova, and
Claudia De Lucas. Gullacksen was the PBC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference and led CSU to a Southeast Region Title and a spot in the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals.
