COLUMBUS - With rain forecasted to fall across the state on Saturday, the Columbus State University tennis matches scheduled against Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga. have been postponed. 

The matches have currently been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 6. 

Saturday was supposed to be the season-opener for both the Cougars and Lady Cougars. The two teams will try to take the court for the first time in 2021 on Wednesday, Feb. 17 against Auburn University Montgomery. 

The Cougars will open the year as the number one team in the nation after going 9-0 during the shortened 2020 season. The women are also highly ranked, grabbing the fifth spot in the preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll.
