TOCCOA, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's golf team sits tied for fourth place after the opening day of the McCoy-Wright Currahee Invite. The tournament is taking place at the Currahee Golf Course in Toccoa, Ga.
The tournament is scheduled for three rounds but the teams couldn't complete a full 36-holes on Monday before darkness fell on the course.
TEAM RESULTS
The Cougars are one of three teams who shot a 12-over 300 in the opening round. Anderson University sits atop the leaderboard after a 4-under 284. The University of North Georgia (+3, 291) is second, followed by Lincoln Memorial University (+5, 293).
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Arran Kanth paced the Cougars on Monday, firing an even-par 72. He is one of a slew of golfers after round one who was at even par. Reece Coleman led the field after the opening round with a 5-under 67.
