EATONTON, Ga. — The No. 10-ranked Columbus State University Men's Golf team finished 11th overall at the Bobcat Invitational at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee, hosted by Georgia College & State University.
The Cougars concluded the tournament with a two-round team score of 10-over par after posting an even-par opening round followed by a 10-over second round. The final round of the event was canceled, leaving the tournament shortened to two completed rounds.
Bernard Meyer, who entered the event ranked No. 23 nationally, finished tied for ninth overall at even-par, delivering the team's top individual performance and placing among the top ten competitors in the field.
William Greene and
Russell Makepeace each finished tied for 31st overall at 3-over par, providing additional scoring depth for the Cougars throughout the shortened tournament.
Ian Pienaar finished tied for 43rd overall at 4-over par, while
William Partner concluded the event tied for 65th at 7-over par.
Columbus State will return to action later this month when the Cougars compete at the Argonaut Invitational, scheduled for Monday, March 30, and Tuesday, March 31, at Pensacola Country Club in Pensacola, hosted by the University of West Florida.
