Justin Welz picked up his third win of the year on Saturday.

COLUMBUS - The top-ranked Columbus State University men's tennis team continued its busy weekend on Saturday by knocking off Georgia College 6-1 in a Peach Belt Conference tilt at the Walden Tennis Center in Columbus.

The Cougars (11-1, 2-0 PBC) won seven of the eight completed matches (singles & doubles), with Georgia College's lone win coming from sixth singles due to CSU playing Saturday shorthanded.

Columbus State began the day with victories at first and second doubles to grab the opening point. Alvaro Regalado and Tommaso Schold teammed up to down Sebastin Nunez and Enzo Sergi 6-4 at the top spot. Christian Garay and Felix Steen were impressive at second doubles, running by Jorge Robinson and Karol Malirz 6-2.

GC (5-6, 0-2) did grab a win at third doubles where Jesus Villamizar and Gabriel Cizek defeated Javier Cueto Ramos and Justin Welz 6-3.
