ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's golf team is tied for second place after the opening round of the 2022 Peach Belt Conference tournament being held at the Sea Palms Resort. The Cougars shot a 5-over 289 to put them tied with Georgia Southwestern State University.
Four of the five Cougars are placed in the top-20 after the first day, with
Preston Wagaman being tied for 21st with a score of 4-over 75.
Jordan Doull is leading the Cougars, shooting an even-par 71 to place the All-PBC First Team honoree tied for fourth.Â
Martin Gruendemann and Eric Wower are both tied for seventh place with a score of 1-over 72 after the opening day.
Arran Kanth is tied for 16th after shooting a 3-over 74.
Mauro Baez of Flagler is sitting in the top spot with a score of 4-under 67. FC is also leading the tournament after the opening round
Columbus State will return to Sea Palms Resort for the second day of the conference tournament on Saturday, April 16.
