HARTWELL, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's golf team is placed tied for 7th after the first round of the Cateechee Fall Invitational hosted by Lander University. The second round was not completed and will be finished Tuesday morning prior to the final round.
The Cougars shot a 4-over 288 in the opening round on Monday.
Bernard Meyer is leading Columbus State, placing tied for 9th with a 1-under 70. Meyer is currently shooting 1-under par on the 17th hole in the second round.
Phil Snyman is tied for 32nd after a 1-over 72 performance in round one and is shooting par on the 17th hole in the second.
William Makepeace,
Martin Gruendemann and
Karan Nalam are also competing for CSU. Makepeace is tied for 59th (3-over 73, 1-over on 16th hole), Gruendemann is tied for 71st (1-over 72, 4-over on 16th hole) and Nalam is 105th (13-over 83, 3-over on 16th hole).
