TOCCOA, Ga. - Columbus State University men's golfers
Martin Gruendemann and
Russell Makepeace are tied for third after the first 27 rounds of play at the McCoy-Wright Currahee Invite hosted by Anderson University. The Cougars are currently in fourth place as a team.
Columbus State shot 6-over 291 to put them in fourth place after the first day. Gruendemann shot a 2-under in the opening round and is currently shooting par through the first nine holes of the second round. Makepeace scored a 4-under in the first round and is shooting 2-over in the second.
Bernard Meyer is tied for 19th place after shooting 4-over in round one and 1-under in the first nine holes of the second round.
Karan Nalam and
Blake Parkman are also competing for the Cougars, with Nalam scoring 11-over and 2-over, and Parkman shooting 5-over and 10-over.
The Cougars will finish the rest of the second round Tuesday morning as well as starting and finishing the third round.
