AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference named Columbus State University women's soccer player Carley Canzoneri the PBC Defender of the Week on Monday, Oct. 9.

Canzoneri helped Columbus State to two shut out PBC victories last week, defeating USC Beaufort 2-0 and Georgia Southwestern 2-0. As the center back, the Suwanee, Ga. native shut down the Sand Shark offense and GSW's offense, keeping both teams from scoring any goals and only allowing eight shots total. 

This is Canzoneri's second PBC Defender of the Week award in her career. Her first weekly award was on Sept. 27, 2021.
