Tennis Takes Two From ABAC

Men's team defeat the Stallions 7-0 while the women win 5-2.

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 COLUMBUS- Columbus State University men's and women's tennis teams each walk away with wins in their matches on Saturday March 11. against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. 

Men's Singles:
  • At number one singles, Javier Cueto Ramos defeated A. Alimoussa 6-4, 6-3. 
  • Taking the win at number two singles Tommaso Schold took down L. Tinnock in a tie breaker match 6-2, 7-6, TB 3. 
  • Pietro Martinetti won his spot at number three singles, 6-2, 6-2 defeating N. Burton. 
  • Andrea Sandrone took down A. Schaub 6-3, 6-1 winning his match at number four singles. 
  • At number five singles, Armin Trklja took the win from B. Ranby-al 6-3, 6-1. 
  • Taking the win at number six singles 6-0, 6-1 was Felix Steen who took down E. Myhre of the Stallions. 
Women's Singles: 
  • At number two singles, Inma Ramon took the win from J. Chen with a score of 6-2, 6-3. 
  • Laura Pesickova won her match at number three singles defeating Y. Barrios 6-4, 6-0. 
  • With a score of 6-2, 6-0, Nikoline Gullacksen took the win from L. Jerry of the Stallions. 
  • Yelena Labat defeated V. Conde 7-5, 1-6, 61 and walked away with the win at number five singles. 
  • At number six singles Agostina Bigotti defeated P. Principal 6-3, 6-2. 
Men's Doubles: 
  • At number one doubles the pair of Cueto Ramos and Martinetti won their match 6-3 defeating the team of Alimoussa and Burton. 
  • Schold and Steen took the win from the pair of Schaub and Ranby-al winning 6-1 at number two doubles. 
  • For number three doubles, Trklja and Sandrone took down the team of Tinnock and Myhre with a score of 6-3.
Women's Doubles: 
  • The team of Gullacksen and Bigotti took the win from Barrios and Conde 6-1 earning the win at number two singles. 
UP NEXT 
The Cougars will be traveling to Pensacola Fla. to take on the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas University on Tuesday March 21. at 2 p.m.
