VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's golf team in placed tied for sixth out of 18 teams in the first round on Monday, March 13. The Cougars are shooting two over par after the first round.
TEAM RESULTS:
Columbus State is playing some great golf as they ended up with 290 total strokes and they are within striking distance of multiple teams. They are tied for sixth with Lincoln Memorial but they are one stroke back of Florida Southern and four strokes behind Saint Leo and Lee University for third place. CSU has a two stroke lead over Nova Southeastern and four ahead of Shorter University.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS:
Bernard Meyer paced the Cougars and played some outstanding golf as he finished one under par in the first round. Meyer is currently tied for 11th with eight other golfers.

Arran Kanth both are all tied 28th at one over par. They are in a great position and can climb up the leader boards as they are three shots off of seventh place.
Phil Snyman is right behind them at two over par.
