AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's golf team ends the first two rounds of the Bearcat Fall Invitational in second place out of 19 teams. The Cougars shot a total score of 13-under 563 on Monday, Sept. 11 in two rounds.
Columbus State's
Martin Gruendemann and
Phil Snyman each finished the day tied for second place individually, both shooting scored of 7-under 137 total. Gruendemann and Snyman each shot under par in both rounds, 3-under 69 in the first round and 4-under 68 in the second.
William Makepeace and
Bernard Meyer are each tied for 32nd with scores of 1-over 145. Makepeace shot a par in the first round and 1-over 73 in the second. Meyer scored 3-over 75 in the first round then improved in the second, shooting 2-under 70.
Karan Nalam rounded out the CSU lineup with a score of 3-over 147, placing him tied for 51st. Nalam shot 3-over 75 in the first and par in the second.
The University of North Georgia sits in first place with a score of 22-under 554, while USC Aiken is in third, shooting 9-under 567.
