GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Columbus State University's Martin Gruendemann finished in first place at the Mizuno Intercollegiate, shooting a 9-under 207 total. The Cougar men's golf team finished in third place with a score of 6-under 858 and Gruendemann and Bernard Meyer were each named to the all-tournament team.

Gruendemann started Tuesday morning in third place after shooting 6-under in the first two rounds, which were played on Monday. The senior from Hamburg, Germany climbed the leader board after scoring a 3-under 69 in the final round of play to secure first place. Meyer also finished in the top-5, tying for fifth place with an overall score of 6-under 210. The sophomore jumped three places on the leader board after shooting a 2-under 70 on Tuesday.

The Cougars maintained third place, shooting a 5-over 293 in the third round. CSU finished 11 strokes behind the winners of Lincoln Memorial and 10 strokes behind North Georgia, who captured second place.

Karan Nalam finished tied for 34th with a score of 3-over 219, Phil Snyman placed tied for 46th, shooting a 6-over 222, and William Makepeace placed tied for 78th (11-over 227).
