SUMTER, S.C. - The Columbus State University men's and women's tennis teams opened up fall competition in the ITA Regional Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center on Monday, Sept. 25, where two Cougar doubles teams took home the championship trophy.
In the Women's Open Doubles Championship match, the women's duo of two returners,
Mariana Ramirez and
Nikoline Gullacksen, defeated a familiar opponent Flagler College in three sets.

In the Men's Open Doubles Championship match, the men's doubles pair of returner
Justin Welz and newcomer
Camilo Cano defeated the Lander University doubles team, securing the championship.
