AUGUSTA, Ga. – Martin Gruendemann has been announced as the Peach Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The Hamburg, Germany native captured first-place at the McCoy Wright Currahee Collegiate Invitational with a 54-hole score of two-under to help lead the Cougars to the team's first tournament win this season.
 
Gruendemann carded rounds of 72-72-70 for a two-under 214 for his first win of the season and second in the last two seasons. His efforts lifted CSU to a win over a 16-team field that featured seven nationally-ranked teams and 19 nationally-ranked players.
 
Monday's recognition is the second weekly honor of Gruendemann's career and the first this season for the men's golf program.
 
Gruendemann and the Cougars return to action in February for the Lander Bearcat Spring Invitational.
