ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Columbus State men's golf team opens the 2024 spring season at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate on Monday, Feb. 12 to Tuesday, Feb. 13. The tournament in hosted by Lincoln Memorial University at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club.
The NCAA Men's Golf rankings by Scoreboard ranked Columbus State No. 17 in Division II back in January. After the fall season, the Cougars posted a scoring average of 289.1 with two top-3 finishes.
Martin Gruendemann led Columbus State in the fall with three top-10 finishes, including a first-place finish at the Mizuno Intercollegiate, scoring a 9-under 207. Him and teammate
Bernard Meyer were named to the all-tournament team. Gruendemann also finished tied for seventh at the Curahee Invitational hosted by Anderson University on Oct. 24, and sixth at the Bearcat Fall Invitational.
