AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Sunday. The Cougars scored a total 4-over in the 54 hole tournament.
After an impressive performance on Saturday, the Cougars fell four places on the leaderboard to place them sixth, shooting a 15-over in the third round on Sunday. However, sophomore
Bernard Meyer finished in second place with a score of 7-under in the tournament. He shot a 2-under on Sunday to move him up four places on the leaderboard and earning a spot on the all-tournament team.
Russell Makepeace dropped four places and finished T7th with a score of 3-under overall. He scored a 3-over on Sunday.
Martin Gruendemann placed T14th after falling eight places, shooting a 6-over in the final round to give him a final score of 1-over.Â
Karan Nalam placed 37th with a score of 16-over and
Trey Kelly finished 38th, shooting 22-over.
