GAINESVILLE, Ga. - After the first two rounds of the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional, the Columbus State University men's golf team is placed T17th with a score of 20-over. The regional is hosted by the University of North Georgia at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
The first round of the tournament was supposed to be played on Thursday, but due to inclement weather, the teams had to play two rounds on Friday.Â
The Cougars ended round one T7th with a score of 4-over as
Bernard Meyer and
Karan Nalam each shot to par.
Martin Gruendemann shot 1-over,
Blake Parkman shot 3-over and
Russell Makepeace was 4-over.
Columbus State dropped 10 places as a team after the second round, shooting 16-over as a team. Gruendemann leads CSU, placing T42nd after shooting 2-over in round two. Parkam scored a 4-over while Meyer and Nalam each shot 5-over, and Makepeace was 6-over.
The final round will begin on Saturday starting at 7:30 a.m.
