AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has announced the 2025 Men's Tennis All-Conference awards with Columbus State University men's tennis gathering First Team All-PBC recognition.
The 16th-ranked Cougars pick up a few postseason honors ahead of this weekend's conference tournament held at the John W. Walden Tennis Center in Columbus. All-PBC awards were selected by the league's headed coaches and were not permitted to vote for their own players.
Singles Samer Al Tori and Camilo Cano, captured First Team individual nods while Andrea Sandrone and Elias Peter were named First Team All-PBC honorees in doubles play.
Al Tori leads as the 57th-ranked individual in singles action, according to the latest ITA rankings. He is 11-7 in 2025 and 5-0 in conference action at the number two line of singles play. As for Cano, he is 9-10 overall in 2025 with a 1-4 PBC record.
For doubles, Sandrone and Peter have paired up quite nicely for the Cougars as the fourth-ranked doubles pairing in Division II. In the fall, the duo battled for the ITA Southeast Regional title and captured the hardware, closing the fall portion of the season with a 7-1 record. In the 2025, the pair has lost just two matches going 16-2 overall and going 5-0 in conference bouts.
As a team, CSU completed the regular season with an 11-9 overall record and a 4-1 PBC slate. The Cougars are the two-seed in the PBC tournament and will host the winner of third-seeded North Georgia and sixth-seeded Augusta (Ga.) at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday.
