GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Columbus State University men's golf team posted a steady opening round at the 4th Annual Mizuno Intercollegiate, held at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. The Cougars turned in a team score of +3 to begin the tournament, placing them in 7th overall after day one.
Leading the way for Columbus State were
Frederick Chappell and
Will Coffman, who each carded rounds of +2. Chappell went out at +2 on the front nine before steadying his play to shoot even par on the back, while Coffman opened with a consistent even-par front nine before giving two strokes back on the closing stretch.
