No. 10 Cougars Take Second at PBC Championship

The No. 10-ranked Columbus State University men’s golf team delivered a strong three-round performance to finish second at the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Championship.

St. Augustine, Fla. — The No. 10-ranked Columbus State University men's golf team delivered a strong three-round performance to finish second at the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Championship, held at World Golf Village and hosted by Flagler College.

Columbus State posted a 54-hole total of 4-over par, finishing just behind No. 7 Georgia Southwestern (-5) in a tightly contested championship field. The Cougars remained consistent throughout the event, carding rounds of even par, 10-over, and a final-round 6-under to surge into second place.

Georgia Southwestern claimed the team title behind a balanced effort, while USC Aiken (+7) rounded out the top three.

Leading the way for Columbus State was William Partner, who turned in a steady performance to finish fourth overall at even par. Partner opened with an even-par round, followed by a 2-over second round before closing strong with a 2-under 70 to secure a top-five finish.

Bernard Meyer added a top-10 effort, tying for sixth at 2-over par. Meyer improved each round, highlighted by a final-round 3-under performance that helped fuel Columbus State's late push up the leaderboard.

Will Coffman also contributed to the Cougars' scoring effort, finishing tied for eighth at 4-over par, while Bryant Vail placed tied for 19th at 7-over. Ian Pienaar rounded out the lineup with a tie for 19th finish as well at 7-over par.

Columbus State's final-round 6-under team score marked one of the best rounds of the tournament and underscored the team's resilience, as the Cougars climbed the standings to secure the runner-up finish.

Individually, Georgia Southwestern's Sam Brown earned medalist honors at 7-under par, while several players finished under or near par in a competitive field featuring multiple nationally ranked programs.

The Cougars' second-place finish caps a strong showing at the conference championship as Columbus State now awaits the NCAA Division II postseason Selection Show, scheduled for Sunday, April 26, on NCAA.com.
