OKATIE, S.C. — The No. 12-ranked Columbus State University Men's Golf team delivered a strong three-round performance to finish fourth at the Oldfield Classic, hosted by the University of South Carolina - Beaufort at Oldfield Golf Club, posting a 54-hole total of +19 (16-4-(-1)) and closing the tournament with its best round at 1-under par to secure a top-four finish in a competitive field featuring multiple nationally ranked teams.
Leading the way for the Cougars was
William Partner, who finished fifth individually at 2-under par. Partner carded rounds of 73 (+1), 72 (E), and an impressive 69 (-3) in the final round that led Columbus State and recorded the program's top individual finish of the event.
Bernard Meyer turned in a steady performance, tying for 12th at 2-over par with rounds of 74 (+2), 72 (E), and 72 (E). His consistency across all three rounds proved instrumental in the Cougars' climb up the leaderboard.
Ian Pienaar finished tied for 32nd at 11-over par (77-71-79), highlighted by a second-round 71 (-1).
William Greene tied for 35th at 12-over par (79-77-72), closing with an even-par 72 in the final round.
Will Coffman rounded out the scoring contingent with a tie for 42nd-place finish at 14-over par (79-77-74).
