Bernard Meyer earning First Team All-PBC honors and head coach
Lee McCoy being named the Peach Belt Conference Coach of the Year, as voted on by the league's coaches.
Bernard Meyer – First Team All-PBC
Meyer's selection to the All-PBC First Team comes after a consistent and impactful spring season, highlighted by multiple strong finishes against competitive fields. He turned in one of his top performances at the 2026 First Federal Southeastern Collegiate, finishing sixth overall at 6-under par to help lead the Cougars to a runner-up team finish. Meyer also posted a top-15 finish at the Oldfield Classic, placing 12th at 2-over par, and added a 14th-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational.
Lee McCoy – Coach of the Year
McCoy earns Coach of the Year honors after guiding Columbus State to one of its strongest seasons in recent years. Under his leadership, the Cougars climbed to No. 10 in the national rankings and No. 4 in the Southeast Region while maintaining a 286.0 adjusted scoring average across 26 rounds.
Columbus State recorded two top-three finishes during the season, including a runner-up finish at the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate, where the Cougars posted an impressive 18-under team score. The team also added a fourth-place finish at the Oldfield Classic and a sixth-place showing at the Argonaut Invitational, competing against nationally ranked fields throughout the spring.
McCoy's leadership has continued to elevate the Columbus State program on both the regional and national stage, positioning the Cougars as a consistent contender in NCAA Division II men's golf as they carry momentum into postseason play behind Meyer's strong performances.
