Averaged 18.8 points a game for his 52 games in 1964-65 and 1965-66, scoring a total of 981 points. Became the first player in school history to score 500 points as a freshman. Was the leading scorer in each of his two season of Junior College play, averaged 20.1 points a game for the 1964-65 team which went 25-3 and won Georgia Junior College Conference Championship and Georgia Junior College Tournament Championship and reached the semi-finals of the Region Eight Tournament at Tallahassee, FLA. Was captain and leading scorer on 1965-66 team. Made State All-Star team as a sophomore after making Second Team as a freshman.
