Mollie Russell is one of the most decorated softball pitchers in Columbus State University program history posting a 0.96 career ERA, placing her tied for eighth in the Peach Belt Conference. Russell led her team to back-to-back Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championships in 2012 and 2013.
She was a two-time PBC Tournament MVP and was named the PBC Pitcher of the Year and an All-Peach Belt Conference First Team recipient in 2013, while being tabbed to the All-Conference Second Team in 2012. She is also a two-time honoree to the NFCA and Daktronics All-American Second Teams in 2012 and 2013. Russell tallied three no-hitters and was honored as the PBC Pitcher of the Week numerous times during her CSU career.
Russell graduated with a bachelor of science in exercise science in 2014 from CSU, then went back to school for diagnostic medical sonography at Columbus Tech. She works as an ultrasound tech at UAB hospital in Birmingham, Ala. where she resides with her husband Chase and daughter Macy.
