Ramona Arscott Rothell played four seasons for the Lady Cougars softball team. She holds the distinction of being the first female All-American in a team sport in CSU history with that honor coming after her junior season of 1996. In her All-American season she batted .497 with 65 RBIs, 6 home runs, 12 doubles, and 7 triples. The .497 batting average set a CSU record.
