Monica Sanchez is a four-time All-Peach Belt Conference Team recipient as the Cougars' goalkeeper, helping Columbus State University capture four ('05-'08) consecutive Peach Belt Conference Championships and a three peat Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championships ('06-'08). She was named the PBC Goalkeeper of the Week twice in the 2008 season when the Cougars dominated the PBC and the southeast region.
She is tied for first in CSU women's soccer history in games played and games started (96), career saves (246), first in wins (72), minutes in net (7,357) and second in shutouts (25).
Sanchez played three seasons for the Women's Premier Soccer League and was a member of the 2009-10 Puerto Rico National Team. Sanchez graduated from CSU with a bachelor of arts in business administration in 2008 and went to Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and graduated in 2013.
