Joined the Columbus College staff in 1965 and served as tennis coach and assistant basketball coach until 1970 when he started the Senior College baseball program. He coached baseball for 15 seasons and suffered only one losing season. He was named Conference Coach of the Year in 1975, 76 and 79, compiling 466 victories.
